Betty is spending more time out of the nest box,she is perching on the branches and is quite content and not as wobbly. When Mum's about she cries out to be fed,but after watching her, shes quite capable of feeding herself. She has adapted to flying and is getting more and more confident as each day passes. She looks like an old lady with her new feathers coming through, there is still a lot of grey downy feathers but the colours are starting to come.
Jack keeps trying to get out of the pen,he managed to get to the top and clinging on for dear life, flaps his wings and ends upside down still flapping. He does not demand feeding from Mum or Dad quite as often as Betty does, infact it was early evening before Cheeky fed him.I have found him several times sitting on the floor,I hope this is not a sign of things to come.He appears to be ok.He still likes to come to me for a cuddle and he loves his head tickling.
Both chicks are still sleeping in the nest box with Mum.
